FANS - The 'Imperial' fan for Crompton Greaves was an improvement over the long running 'Aura' with simple cosmetic intervention on the trimmings and hub unit. Thick interlocking trimmings were a first of its kind, and appear as a block of colour as the fan rotates providing an interesting pattern against the ceiling. A jump in sales are an indication of how industrial design helps push a product.
WASHING MACHINE - As a brand enhancer for IFB industries, the typical sturdy appeal was reinforced through a deliberate aesthetic that meant 'robust' to the public. Fit and finish was benchmarked with competition and worked according to the manufacturing processes.
WASHING MACHINE - A line of 'Diva's' brighten up the shopfloor. Aimed to lure a section of buyers away from top loaders, it offered fully automatic washing at Rs. 10,000/- when launched.
WATER FILTER - When Pentair Water decided to go in for home units they needed to display their units in outlets that also stocked white goods. A cover was designed to be fitted over the existing candles on their reverse osmosis unit which could be assembled within 3 minutes at their factory.
MOBILE HANDSET - A project initiated for market testing, this unit went through all stages of analysis and prototyping before being signed off.
AIR CIRCULATOR SET - An integrated set of blowers which can be rotated in any direction thereby accessing any blindspots in the room.
MICROWAVE DESIGN - With platform technologies remaining unchanged for years, differentiating factors were explored to create a brand presence. This included use of new touch sensitive controls and animated displays, as well as double door openings.
