Sharanam Green is a 35 room project which sits on a narrow, deep plot with 3 large mango trees. These trees, and the mango leaf became the physical and conceptual anchors for the design. The mango leaf motif pervades most elements in the project from door knobs to fixed windows. The architectural language is of solid forms counter pointed by lighter mild steel elements that sweep across them. Mild steel parapets perforated with a scatter of mango leaves snake across the poolside facade and create an informal intricacy of shadows that is both dramatic and engaging.
